Segesta is the most important of the Elymian cities, lying on a suggestive hilly system not far from Castellammare del Golfo and Alcamo. Segesta's fame is linked to the Doric temple, probably left unfinished, one of the best preserved temples in Sicily, and the ancient theater, one of the most successful examples of theatrical architecture that can be placed in the transition from the Greek to the Roman type.

Erice, an ancient Phoenician and Greek city at 751 m above sea level on the mountain that bears the same name. The city is a medieval labyrinth of cobbled streets; the most important places include the Castle of Venus and the mother church.
Saline di Trapani are highly appreciated for the spectacular sunset view that gives natural and warm colors that mix on the body of water and reflect on the sea salto.
